Before we can lay a foundation, the ground that will rest underneath it must be flat and smooth. Creating what is essentially a giant billiard table is no easy task! But armed with modern laser gear & GPS equipment and the right heavy equipment, we have what it takes to make any wavy, bumpy, hilly, undulating surface into the perfectly template you need to get your project done.
Of course, we can also add channels for all of the pieces to your project puzzle—piping, drains, elevated or depressed sections for landscaping, even the right size and shape hole for a pool. We do trenching right the first time, every time.
Now, don’t think that grading has to be a gigantic, football field-sized effort. If you’re installing something smaller, like a deck or a patio, that needs grading, too. We can even get that foundation laid for you. If you’re going underground with a basement or other such structure, we’ll first need to do a thorough survey.
Florida ground can be… let’s call it “inconsistent.” Some areas could support an underground building; others have sandy soil that couldn’t support a flat concrete slab. We want to ensure that as we’re preparing the ground for your project, there’s no issue with seeing your vision through to the end.
You can also trust Sheltra & Sons Contracting to take care of your re-sloping, too! Perhaps you want to have an elevation, slope, slant, or hill in your final design. It’s essentially the opposite of straight grading, and we can get in the required earth, concrete, and other supporting materials to make whatever slope you’d like.
We move mountains, and we can make ‘em, too! Whether you want to do a stepped hill or just an angled slope, we have the know-how and the equipment to do it.
You need a contractor who knows Florida soil. The ground consistency varies hugely depending on how close you are to the coast, and while some places can support an underground bunker, others will flood if you dig more than five feet down. Sheltra & Sons knows how to handle anything Florida’s ground can throw our way so you can build with peace of mind.
With over 35 years of experience and expertise, Sheltra & Sons is your team for a wide variety of site prep solutions.
