Utilities & Drainage Construction

When You Need The Job Done Right

Pipes can be hard to lay down in Florida soil. Ironically, wet conditions make it difficult to put in drainage and water lines. Thankfully, we know how to work around problematic Florida ground!

No matter what size or material pipes you want to lay, we can prepare the ground with accurate trenching, lay in your piping, ensure it’s all connected properly, and seal it back up under the soil to look like the ground has never been disturbed. This is true whether you need to lay pipes underneath a foundation or if you plan on covering the pipes with soil and sod.

If you’re looking to create proper drainage on a piece of land with flooding issues, you’ve come to the right place. Sheltra & Sons Contracting can create new paths for water flow and ensure the land looks untouched when we’re done.

We accomplish this by subtly re-grading the property to get it to angle in a different direction. Then, we build underground channels to flow water in any desired direction. We’ll also get appropriate permitting and check on the history of flooding in the area to get the drainage under control.

Precision counts

If you’re laying pipes for electric wires or fiber optic cable, we’ll get it done right. Electrical wiring can be fragile, so we’ll work to make sure they’re not laid where they may be in danger of shifting or twisting underground.

Thankfully, Florida isn’t known for its earthquakes! But accidents can and do happen, such as floods causing buildings to shift or other contractors digging without checking for pipe locations. Whatever utilities you want to be running underground, Sheltra & Sons Contracting will work to make sure lines are properly marked and well protected, and we’ll get them running where they need to go!

You need a contractor who knows Florida soil. The ground consistency varies hugely depending on how close you are to the coast, and while some places can support an underground bunker, others will flood if you dig more than five feet down. Sheltra & Sons knows how to handle anything Florida’s ground can throw our way so you can build with peace of mind.
